The comments under Yasir Qadhi's post seems to be very heated up. I wanted to go through the 180+ comments but I couldn't. Everyone was saying too much.

Anyways, its pretty obvious that that lady there wants to turn the haraam into halaal which is clearly an act of Kufr (not saying that she is a kafir). If she wants to disobey Allah, then she can do so. But its even worse to try to change the laws of Islam in accordance to her own whims.

She should also know that although she may not like the Muslim that she married, she has the right to choose another Muslim that she would much love. At the same time, it isn't necessarily true that non-Muslims are the only type that would be able to create chemistry in marriage. Muslims can too but you'll have to look for them.

Correction, if she wants to disobey the commandments of Allah, then she has the free will to do so.

Well the motion of the debate is arguable in itself. It is general but Sh Yasir nailed it when he said she can do whatever she wants but if she calls herself muslim and allows complete freedom then theres no point of being a muslim.

The syrian 'imam' was like 'baba ali' says 'JOKE'. The saudi lady,on sh Yasirs side, might have a had a point but i think what she shouldve put in a better way and shouldnt have been demeaning of the intellect of young muslim women and adopted that 'look ur stupid and young and we know better' approach.I think that backfired on her part.

The opposition, the one who said she got divorced and all was talkin abt interpretation and completely neglecting the ijmah, consensus of the majority of the ulamah. If she goin to try and rationalize everything by goin to some bogus isolated imam then she might even say drinking alchohol is permissible ! and basically remove every rule the religion has.
